Let me be the first to say that's a really nice looking exhaust. And I typically hate how singles look on a ap2 rear bumper.

sea206 02-07-2017 02:45 PM

are these in stock ready to ship? hows the drone? and do these fit 05+ s2000s?

sillyboybmxer 02-07-2017 04:53 PM

I will most likely be getting this one . The resonator with helmholtz addition is something ive been looking for.
will the titanium model come over as well?

How does this compare volume wise to a T1R 70R-EM or EVS 70SSP? Specifically with a test pipe. Do you guys know if it has drone issues or not? To me it looks like this one may be fairly quiet for a single and minimal drone.

chrisaltima 03-08-2017 05:52 PM

Hi Guys, any updates on the approximate ETA ? I ordered mine in early February.

EvasiveMotorsports 03-24-2017 02:53 PM

Shipment coming end of the month!

Curious about this comparison as well! Considering these 3 exhausts. Need the one with the least amount of drone. First choice being T1R-EM single unless the cleib has less drone. Love the look though.

matt96ex 03-28-2017 09:47 AM

Was stuck between the HKS single and T1R EM single...now i have another option! Damn it!

I had the hks single and it droned A LOT. I daily mine and after 2 months I had enough and sold it. I would get home from a 25-30 minute drive mostly freeway and felt like I just left a concert. Everyone is different but for me it droned more than I could handle.

TsukubaCody 03-28-2017 10:01 AM

Who wants to buy a Ti J's 60RS so I can pick this up?

EvasiveMotorsports 03-31-2017 01:28 PM

We just got these in stock ready to ship!

clubmagicdrive 03-31-2017 01:37 PM

When someone installs one, please comment on drone amount - I'm sure everyone on here is interested in how this is going to work for a street driven s2000. I have the J's 70RS (And I love it), but would definitely pick up the CLEiB if the bass frequencies were a little less harsh.

chrisaltima 03-31-2017 02:28 PM

Should have mine in by next week and installed by Friday. I'll keep you guys posted with photos and initial driving impressions.

was it mated to a stock cat, test pipe, hfc? Abby other supporting mods?

It was completely stock besides the exhaust. Stock cat. I heard it's better with a test pipe but I don't have first hand experience with that.

chrisaltima 04-07-2017 08:20 PM

Got the exhaust installed today. I have to say I am really impressed with the quality, fitment, overall look and sound of this exhaust. There is no drone, raspy or speaker like sounds from this exhaust. It is not quiet by any means but the sound is very refined. It is truly is a nice piece. Coming down to a 70mm from the 76mm. The midrange feels amazing. I can totally recommend this exhaust. I will have pics and hopefully sound clips available soon.

Any updates on pics and sound clips? Really interested in hearing more about the Cleib exhaust.

Hey Evasive, can you do an exhaust comparison with the CLEiB piece, similar to what you did with the Tomei Ti? Would be really helpful with helping potential customers make a decision on whether it's right for them. Thanks!

i'm local to Evasive and will be buying one from their next batch. I would be cool with them using my car if they want.

andrewhake 04-20-2017 04:15 PM

Very nice!

What will it take to convince you guys to make an EVS 70 SSP with a little 90 degree Helmholtz resonator like that? :)

Everyone's response and tolerance for sound is different. To me its loud but bearable.

clubmagicdrive 05-03-2017 09:09 AM

How did you find in-car noise/drone, etc.? What did you have previously?

Orjinal 05-03-2017 09:13 AM

Stock, Fujitsubo Legalis R w/tp, Stock w/tp. I've driven cars with various single exhausts and I believe only the ASM single is slightly quieter then this one with every other single being much louder.

In low rpm high load condition there is drone but low rpm low load there is none. Those is with the soft top up. I'll have to try with the OEM Hardtop on.

clubmagicdrive 05-03-2017 12:10 PM

Thank you! That's really helpful. Torn between this and the EVS SSP at the moment.

HAMM3RED 05-14-2017 09:43 PM

Helmholtz clearance

Has anybody had issues with the Helmholtz resonator resting on the bottom of the car? If so, what did you do to fix the issue? This is in regards to AP2.

I assume a 2006+ ap2, then the passenger floor pan on those years were redesigned. The helmholtz resonator on the stock exhaust of those years are not round like 00-05, they are rectangular to give more clearance between the floor pan and the exhaust. Check out the pictures in the below links and you'll see.

s2k_martin 05-25-2017 01:56 AM

Just had this installed in a 2008 Type S (Asian CR), my stock exhaust had the rectangular helmholtz and I didn't have a problem with fitting the 70mm cleib. As for sound, I installed this along with an EVS tuning 70mm HFC and it is quite loud. This was expected as most 70mm single exits are pretty loud, but the exhaust sounds great I'd say and the sound level would sit between a EVS 70mm and a Js 70 RS. There is some drone at lower RPMs under load but it's tolerable, and cruising at certain speeds the exhaust is actually quite quiet. I haven't put a lot of miles on the exhaust but I'm liking it so far. The exhaust tip looks good with the AP2 bumper, just the right size without looking obnoxious like most single exit exhaust.

Thanks for the feedback! As a current J's 70RS owner (with a Berk 70MM HFC), I'm trying to pick between the CLEiB and the EVS SSP for a change out. How does the drone on the low end compare with the J's?

I have sat in a car with a J's 70 rs a handful of times and I would say the J's are slightly louder on the low end. I can't really give you a detailed comparison because I haven't owned a 70RS. If you're looking for a quieter exhaust, I would recommend getting the ASM single or just go for a double exit exhaust. The Cleib has a throaty pop and gurgle occasionally on deceleration, not sure if this is present in other exhausts but it makes me giggle like a little kid.

clubmagicdrive 05-31-2017 12:11 PM

Evasive just installed the Cleib exhaust on my car 2 months ago and recorded it for their social media pages.
I am super happy I went with the Cleib after a lot of research and difficulty coming to a decision. The sound is absolutely perfect in my opinion. It has a nice deep tone with just the right level of sound.
You can def be heard but not to the point of being annoying loud. I even like the simplicity of the canister and tip ..very subtle and clean!

This exhaust is not loud for a 70mm single but I don't know any aftermarket exhausts that will pass at Laguna Seca. you need an angle track pipe for that.

mtunreal 03-05-2018 02:54 AM

How does this exhaust compare to the T1R? For racing in the UK really need to be below 95dB.
