2000+ WHP Supercar
If you're asking specifically about that car, it's likely already over. There are a number of "world-beating supercars" currently "in development" by unknown, unproven companies. It's a pretty simple matter to come up with the broad specs for an engine that produces 2000 hp (why not make it 3000?). I imagine it's a little harder to actually design, build, test, and produce said engine.
I'm not saying such a car would be impossible to build, but I think those output numbers would sound more plausible if they were describing the successor to the Veyron.
Also... 2000 hp for 270 mph???
That's nothing! Top Fuel dragsters have TEN thousand hp: http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...orsepower.aspx
Would love to get a ride in one but would probably pass out from the 5g acceleration

This part actually does make sense, because when you're traveling at those speeds you need some serious power to gain any top end. Air is like driving through bricks at that point. This is why the veyron had a 20% increase in hp only to gain 15 more mph in the top end. It went from 1000 to 1200, and 250 to 265 respectively.
