I could dig a little close action to the bombing ranges. I really became aware of these when I was flying regularly. Man I stayed waaaay away from those MOA's on the chart for sure. Streaking fighters vs. Cessna 172 or Piper Archer ain't pretty.

Way Cool !!

The next time my dad shows up at a meet with us, buy him a vodka martini on the rocks and he'll start telling you the stories of 21 years in the Air Force in the back seat of the F4 as the weapons officer. Some he can share, some he can't. Five crashes, never a scratch. 70+ missions in Vietnam, made it home. Nuclear weapons escorts, Charles Lindberg, etc......bring lots of money, he has lots of stories!!

Very cool I love to watch military aircraft operate ... even if it is a little dated

I also like to head out to the Ocala National Forest and 'sneak' in as close as I can to the Pinecastle bombing range. I don't see too many jets due to speed and altitude ... but, they do leave their 'mark' though
We were camped at Farles Prairie one night when they were dropping live 500 lb bombs (this was 35 years ago) It was like someone hit you in the chest and almost knocked the wind out of you.
