AP1 Short Block for Loan
Greetings from frigid Connecticut as we are getting hit with an Arctic blast tonight.
I have been in contact with Kevin at Ishihara-Johnson Crank Scrapers of Port Richie, FL to develop a crank scraper for our S2000s. To do this, they need a short block with oil pump and pan to make a pattern. Would any of you in the Tampa area have an AP1 short block to loan to them? It does not need to be in good condition, just needs to rotate. Since I am in CT, it will be expensive to ship an engine back and forth. Once a pattern is made, the crank scrapers will be available to anyone on a commercial basis. An AP2 short block would also be needed to make a scraper for the AP2 engine, since with the bigger stroke it would not fit the same.
Ishihara-Johnson already has scrapers for F and H series Honda engines, but the F20C is too different to fit.
