I just realized we do not have a calendar on our tampa site for autocrosses and stuff, so I thought I will share upcoming autocrosses.

Today is the last day to register for BMW Autox which is in Brooksville.

If you don't want to go there and just do the FAST autocross, then FAST autocross is in Brooksville too on 17th and 18th, I believe it's a two day event.

Here is what I got from tamparacing (I am putting here only the ones I am planning on going, complete list is here - http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/au...chedule.html):

If anyone else wants to go, we can roll together or something and if anyone does not know what autocross is and wants to experience it, they can ride with me or other people, you can go as a spectator and ride for free

 

I guess nobody likes to autox here or people are not aware of how you can pay fraction of a cost of track and enjoy what this car was made for...you get to learn you car better and get to see what this car is really capable of...not speed wise but handling wise

 

So I guess I will be going by myself to kick some bimmer a**! Come on guys? No hate for bimmers? LOL

 

Lol - definately hate the price - especially what you get for it.

I am interested to go to an Autocross event and check it out - see if I want to put my baby through all of that. Do you need a right seater on the 4th?

 

haha, I am glad I am not the only one...well, I am not sure if BMW guys will let you sit with me or not, here is what I got in email from them:

"If you are a Spectator you will be able to spectate and get a ride from an instructor but not drive."

I have no idea and it does not state that you won't be able to sit, it just says you cannot drive. Why don't you come down there on Sunday anytime you feel like and we will see?

I don't mind giving rides dude, or how about you pm me your number, I will go ask them in the morning if you can ride or not, if they say yes, I will call/text you and you can come over?

 

Tires are here, oil changed at S & R and I am ready to kick some bimmer a**!!!

 

If its at Brooksville, unless he was on the spectator list like a week ago, they probably won't let him on the property... Brooksville is mean like that... some sort of national security thing... i doubt that just cause its the beemah club, the airport will let that slide...

 

If there is some serious national security issue then how will a brown guy with his license plate saying "ACHMED" enter

Okay so autocross was great and the setup was just awesome!

Here is a video to show how the course layout was...My car felt a little lose, need a trip to S & R to check the coilovers if they are all fine or not.
I am going to play with it a little more before the Oct 17th and 18th Autocross...

Holy crap that looks like fun and a GREAT way to spend 5x as much on tires and suspension parts!
