Default Backyard seat rail installed

I received my Backyard seat rail today. Well after watching Tiger win the Open I went out and installed the rail. Now, keep in mind that I am 6'3" or so, so fitting in the S has been quite snug. Before my knee would rest against the steering wheel, now it is prolly 1/2"-3/4" from the wheel. I also was not able to keep my hand on the steering wheel for more than half a rotation because it would hit my knee(for those that dont have this problem, just imagine how frustrating it is)..now I can keep my hand on the wheel for a full turn.

all in all, its not very cheap but well worth the money for someone in my situation. If I knew then what I know now, this would have been my first mod.

I did this a few months ago and I agree it is a great mod, expensive but worth it in the end.

The best part is I am reminded of it every time I get in the car!

I didnt take any pics for 2 reasons.

1. pics dont do it justice. I dont believe the seat back was lowered much, but the actual seat bottom was lowered.

2. there are plenty of pics on here of the install.

I sat in Barry's car after his install of the lower rails . For a taller driver it makes a huge diference . Much Easier to get out of the car to .

^^I did the homemade seat lowering last year. Took it apart, banged down the metal seat pan with a hammer,(there was some CHINESE script on it???) and put it back together.

It feels much better and noticeably lower to me, and it was free! Eric sat in it once and he liked it.

I recommend it if you are good with your hands and a cheapskate. Save your money for gas!
