I volunteered for their sanctioned event this month. They said to keep an eye on the website. No idea why they may cancel it.

As far as I know, registration for the FAST event is full.

Dang! Good thing I signed up for BMW CCA on the 17th. At least I'll get to autocross once next month if they cancel.

Here is the email I received from Sam this evening:

Important Notice:
The FCRC Autocross on Saturday 11/9/2013 will in all likelihood be rescheduled for 12/14 - 12/15.
Due to unforeseen circumstances and medical issues, we have run out of club members to run the event.
We are awaiting final approvals and will send another email and update the we site when we know more, hopefully in the next 24-36 hours.
sorry for the inconvenience

Yup, it's official.

FINAL UPDATE

The November event will be rescheduled for 12/14 - 12/15.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and will roll all of the existing registrations over to the new date. If you cannot make the new date(s), let me know and i will remove you from the gate list.

Thank you for all the offers to help to keep this event on! Unfortunately we have no club members available to attend this event, so we cannot have it on 11/9. We held out hope until the last, and the final person who was available to run the event is now going to be in the hospital at that time, so we had no choice.
That said, if you have a Corvette and are not a club member, now is a good time to join and get involved, to help ensure this does not happen in the future.

I'm interested in going to the 12/15 event. Never been to a FCRC auto-x. Anything different about theirs compared to FAST?

Yup. Usually a lot more open course and less technical. More like a mini road course than an autoX.
