Default Fords New MYKEY

Ford Motor Company has introduced a new feature for teen age drivers called "MYKEY" which will allow parents to set some limits on their teenage drivers.

As a parent I can appreciate this feature however some people may see the devil in it and think it is an infringement on peoples rights, big brother watching etc.

I also like the fact that Ford has introduced this idea, Ford seems to have their act together compared to GM & Chrysler. They have made many of the soem mistakes that GM & Chrysler has made in the past but took steps to change course several years ago and as a result are a stronger and more viable company today. Let's not forget that Ford did not take any bailout money either.

The complete information from Ford's website about MYKEY is listed below.

I think its a good tool for parents as you said. Since it sounds like its set by yourself I don't see it as a violation of rights. Especially since I don't think your own kids have those kinds "of rights" when they're living under your roof lol

I agree, driving in my house is not a right but an earned privilege, one that can be taken away if expected behaviors are not met.
