Talking Going to buy my AP2 console!

I'm just excited to say the next step in my endeavor to combine the best of the AP1 with the best of the AP2 is underway! Found a nice AP2 center console for $250. About to go pick it up.

It's a money pit but hey it keeps me happy.

Next items:
AP2 wing
AP2 rear bumper + tips
AP2 Transmission ($$$)
AP2 valve lifters, etc. and re-calibration. ($$$$)

I'm kinda following Indy's process at least in the aesthetics. He's got a very clean AP1>2 conversion with a slick rear diffuser that makes the car look like a porche rear end.

you got yours for a fairly decent price.....I want one so bad but refuse to pay what people want for them....

they are so expensive at dealerships that people think they have a gold mine if they have one for sale.

I guess if people are willing to pay for the console then the price is justified. I am just bitter

good job on the upgrade Ryan...I am just jaded because I have always wanted one for myself

BTW: ever try to look up the replacement value of your tonneau cover???

Rob - I know exactly how you feel. The guy I just met has a ton of salvaged s2000 parts. He has a couple consoles left. He's operating carefully. He's also known as hondaparts5 on eBay. Better prices when dealing direct though.

Indy's diffuser is a custom piece. There are only 2 in existence. He has an AP1 rear bumper. I'm not sure if the diffuser will work on an AP2.

Rob, I agree with you, I went to purchase mine on the used market and prices were so high ($350 was the cheapest I could find at the time) and everyone I looked at at some little imperfection (scratch or scuffed) that I knew would drive me crazy so I hooked up with Parts Mike and just ordered a new one which he got for me for about $100 more.

It was worth it to me, I love mine especially the larger cup holder (place to put my wallet etc.) and the tray area as a place to put my IPhone/Pod for my tunes.

Congratulations on the upgrade Ryan!!

his name is Cody - 813.403.4826 . He's got a lot of s2000 parts salvaged and if you're wiling to put up with parts being used - it's a great savings. I bought an AP2 console and AP2 muffler tips for $260.

I'm cleaning them up, and the console looks brand new despite being 5 years old, and the muffler tips are scuffed =[ but, only on the bottom where no one will see. When I am rolling in money maybe I'll buy brand new parts.
