Light Up Mount Dora
The Holidays are fast approaching and its time to mark your calendars for the 35th Annual Light Up Mount Dora event.
If you haven't been this is a fun event we started attending a few years ago. The event is Mount Dora's way of kicking off the beginning of the Christmas Holiday Season. It is the lighting of the Downtown area which includes the center of towns Donnelly Park. They light up over 2 Million Lights and its a fun way to spend a day/evening and getting in the Christmas mood.
The Event is FREE and the schedule is as follows:
Date: Saturday November 26, 2016 (Saturday after Thanksgiving)
Location: Downtown Mount Dora Florida
Pre Show: 4:30PM
Presentation: 5:30PM
Lighting of Donnelly Park 6:30PM
In years past we have organized a group drive over to Mount Dora to arrive late afternoon and watch the lighting. This year I want to do it differently, I want to arrive around noon, make a day of visiting the shops of Mount Dora and then watch the lighting. Perhaps grab dinner after the lighting.In other words I want to spend a majority of the day there vs arriving just in time for the lighting as we have done in past years.
I will organize a meeting place, time etc. once I have an idea how many people want to participate. SO please show your interest by signing up below and indicate if you are interested in going early or meeting there at the lighting and doing dinner after the lighting.

Barry - just letting you know, we'll be there a little later in the afternoon due to a conflict. but we should be there around 3:30. I'll text you when we are on our way, please drop a pin where you guys parked and I'll try to park as close as I can. I thought the church was a pretty good place last time.
