maybe found a S to buy
Hey Guys I found a 2000 NFR S with only 38k miles on it for $15K. The car has never had any mods and looks pretty close to new, I think the guy will do $14 on it. We are thinking of letting go the 2010 Mazda Miata for the S.
April will be using the S for her daily driver and I will get to drive it some too
The car will see only around town use, about 5k miles a year as well as a few meets a year
Right now we have a car payment on the Miata. If we get the S we would not have a car payment anymore
We would be getting rid of a 2010 with only 10k miles for a 2000 with 38k miles
We would have a S2000 again
Power hard top for power soft top with plastic window
What to do????

I want a first year S and I want New Formula Red. I would do a few late model upgrades to make the car a bit more "nice". I would be bringing the car to you for oil bolt upgrade.
The car was built late in the year but still does not have the wind screen between the seats, I would install a wind screen.
April does so little driving that we feel having a brand new car sitting in the driveway is a wast. The S would be her grossarey getter and run to town car.
It's funny, when I first met April she said she would drive a Ford Escort but things have changed
It sounds like your mind is already made up. Time to ditch the miata.
When I first met my girlfriend (of 4 years) she hated Honda with a passion. She was a mustang girl. Fast forward to last month- she traded her 2011 mustang in on an 08 nfr and is very happy with her choice.
The S seems to have an overwhelming ability to convert people.

It's a no-brainer.. You go with the car that depletes your car payments and still is able to put a smile on your face every morning. Newer cars are overrated. Aesthetically and mechanically the S still hangs with the best of them ( genesis, z4, brz, etc)
