Default My yellow s2000

Hi all, i purchased my s2000 about a month ago now...you all prob seen me as <sports car driver 72> but i had to change it ( i kept for getting the password and how i spelled it )

First, im loving the car.....already had some girl try to jump in it at clearwater beach!

Also Wilde Honda in sarsota (where i bought the car) has been awsome, I have the car at courtsey honda in palm harbor for AC issues....i called wilde and they are going to take care of me on that!

I havent been to any meets sice the grand prix...but ill try for this sat, im not much of a mornin person. Ive also wanted to ask what do you guys use to take care of the leather in the car? Should i buy the honda leather stuff or what? Im not gonna use armorall since it cracks leather if you stop using it ....

As for washing the car, i learned not to use the no touch carwash...got a nice stream od soapy water comming up under the window .
But i can recomend a soap i ve used in the past, i use rainex carwash soap..they claim it also waxes the car at the same time, dont know about that , but it really does bring a great shine to the car!

ok thats all fer now...
later!

Alot of Honda dealers sell Lexol which can be bought at an autoparts store too. I use a leather moisturiser from a company called the protector. Im not sure if it is available to everyone though, got is from the dealer I used to work at. I reccomend to Never use armor all for anything , if ou ever have to have paint work done on the car it is an absolute nightmare and causes major paint issues , fisheye etc.

Townsend Leather Co. is a sponsor on here and offers great leather care products. Check in the Wash and Wax section for recommended products. Tampa's Twanksta always has a post in there showing his buffing skills. He usually includes a list of products used. You have an easy color to deal with. You won't have to use a ton of different products like the BB and Red cars do.

I use meguiers car wash soap. As well as everything else. I swear by tech wax 2.0 and so does everyone I have turned on to it.

That price is high, call S&R Performance for the clutch install.

What's your location? If you're in Sarasota, LHT is closer. I guess I'm biased. lol

I highly reccomend S&R. They've done solid work on mine. One word of advice, if you're stock, stay stock. Only upgrade your clutch based on upgrades to your car. ou should only upgrade the clutch if your mods justification. You are not going to get that much more from a stock car and an upgraded clutch. For example, I have SC and had to go with a stage II clutch. Clutch buzz is a common theme on many threads. Once they go back to OEM, the buzz goes away. I could go back but would be buy clutches every 90 days. Not trying to steer you away from a stronger clutch, but you should know the good and the bad.

I don't regret the mods I have done, but I wish I would have know that 4.56 had a notorious whine. I probably would have considered 4.44. Wish I would have known a high performance SC that required a high performance clutch would give me clutch buzz. I might have considered the regular SC instead. (Actually, I would have done what is already on the car now.) It's just nice to know in advance.

Don't feel guilty for asking a lot of questions. Everyone has an opinion, I just shared mine. Good luck with the car, hope to see you around.
