Thumbs down Need an RV

With Grant not doing so hot right now, his offer of having a Van at the RV spot is understandably retracted.

I am looking for somebody with a conversion Van or RV....or a friend with an RV willing to let us use it on location from thursday morning to sunday evening.

A standard rental rate can not be paid but there is room for some money compensation for anyone willing to trust us at this point. the owner can deliver and pick up the vehicle if driving is the issue.

anyone with info or help will be appreciated.

Thanks

RoB

Rob,

I was checking online and found Cruise America (we have used them before for a football road trip in Indy) anyway the only rate it will give me online is for the largest unit they offer which is a 28' to 30' that sleeps 7 people. The breakdown for the rental is listed below.

Although the total is $1,249.00 this includes the deposit and a per mile charge for 400 miles. The actual mileage from the rental pickup location to the track site is roughly 26 miles one way or 52 miles round trip. For grins and giggles let's say 75 miles total would be driven. We would be due a credit for the unused miles of 325 at .32 cents per mile or $104.00, + the deposit of $500.00 which would mean our net rental cost would be $645.00. This would be for a pick up at 9:00AM on Thursday (4/3) and returning at 9:00AM Monday (4/7).

I know we have collected money to cover the RV rental spot with some left over, would we have enough to cover this type of rental?

If not how much more do we need?

How much would everyone be willing to donate to the cause to get to this tye of rental?

that price is way out of range.

The leftover money from renting the RV spot is unfortuantely alloted to food and drinks. we have a good bit of cash but the prices of food and drinks is going to burn through it rather fast.

J said his food costs were right around 1k last time we did this. i have a lit more than half of that right now after the RV spot was paid for. I was going to throw in 200.00 myself and now with the recent development I was going to throw that to the person willing to let us use their personal vehicle.

I know I am asking alot of someone to let us borrow a vehicle like this so I am not holding out too much hope. I am prepared to use the blazer as kind of a sleeping spot and Jeff is bringing down his grill and stuff like that. we will have everything we would have had if Grants van was going to be there so not much has changed in that respect.

we are only worried about SPGP demanding an RV type vehicle be in our spot for whatever reason.....
