New NSX
Getting very excited. My work is sending me to Ohio to test drive the new NSX this weekend. We have been waiting over 3 years to get this beast in. The class is an all day event on the overall car and then driving it on a closed track! Unfortunately they will not allow us to bring our cell phones or cameras. the actual car should be on our showroom floor in 30-60 days. I'm sure the dozen people who put down deposits years ago will be excited too. who knows, maybe by the year 2020 will have the new S2000 out they keep promising us. If I can sneak any pictures I will post them. Todd

Not sure why you can't record or take pictures. They have already released all the info on the car. Most dealers charged between 10-50k over msrp for the first ones coming

Some of the sales people already went and they really didn't tell me why we couldn't take pictures, I was ready, Go Pro and all. Oh well. pictures probably cant describe the feeling of driving it anyway. they tell me we will be driving some of the competitions cars too. at 160k-200k range there wont be much competition. I will update after the weekend. see ya

Well the training is over. What a BLAST!! This car is a beast! the overall class was 8 hours long at the Honda plant in Ohio. The reason we were not allowed to bring cameras is this plant has prototype cars running around and they do not want any pics being leaked out. In fact we had to be escorted by bus around the property as not to end up anywhere we shouldn't be. The new NSX is amazing! Great performance and handling. We drove the car several times on a 1.1 mile closed track with a professional driver in the passenger seat. We started off with driving the ILX A spec, then the TLX all wheel drive, the RLX all wheel drive and then later a 2016 Porsche turbo cabrio S. All cars handled great, the all wheel drive cars were amazing. The Porsche was fast but did not handle as good as the NSX. Everything about the NSX is awesome. The ground clearance is 3.7 inches even front to back with a shield underneath that only has cooling ducts built in for the brakes and to cool the 7 different radiators. it has saddle gas tanks for weight distribution. 3 electric motors to eliminate any feel of turbo lag. Not only are they for acceleration but will also to help brake front and rear when cornering using torque vectoring. 0-60 in sub 3 seconds using Launch mode. It has 4 driving settings, Quiet, using only electric motors for a short distance, Sport for normal driving, Sport plus and Track mode. Car comes with an option for carbon ceramic brake rotors and 6 piston aluminum monoblock Brembo calipers. Believe me after constant driving these cars around the track the brakes were smoking! But they never felt spongy or weak. after we drove them we switched seats and let the professional driver take us out! HOLY SH*T!! I thought I was a good driver, and this car made me feel light a better driver but they got this car to perform to its limit! what an experience! On the downside, no cd player or AM radio. oh well! also, since these are preproduction cars they cant sell them or even put them in a museum, they get CRUSHED!! What a waste or such a beautiful car!! Cant wait to see them again at the next car meet.
