Thumbs up REAR END NOISE?

I have a noise in the rear. I have heard something about differentials... the noise I am hearing is a ticking. I only hear it upon deceleration around 15-0mph. and it slows with speed. heard more with top up and radio and ac off. any ideas i can not pin point where it is from.

That does sound like a diff problem. When you are not on the gas the gear is getting slop in it and making noise. Its hard to say without hearing it but thats exactly what happened to my diff

Are you sure it's from the diff or does it sound like it's coming from a wheel? Mine was coming from the passenger rear and turns out the wheel bearing was going out

I hope it's not something major...Amen

Into the Yuengling again I see.

Ticking? Have you checked the tires for any foreign objects attached? I have learned to always eliminate the simplest of issues first before heading to earth shattering.

Axle nut I bet. Probably driver side. I had that problem and after I re-torqued it it went away. You have to back it off though first to get it right.
