Default Sad Day!

I am pissed off at Precision Turbo. My expensive turbo on my Supra let go and blew oil out the tail pipe.

Passing 500 rwhp at 19lbs of boost during the tuning on the dyno , white smoke came pouring out the tail pipe. Smelled like oil but the car ran fine so I knew it wasn't a ring. I pulled off the intake tube and tons of shaft play in the turbo.

The turbo is less than six months old and has maybe 100 miles on it. This was the first time being tuned.

This had nothing to do with the tune or the dyno. An oil seal just let go. I guess I can be tooling around in the Supra for awhile.

At least it wasn't the motor!

Josh, Jeremy and puddy, you guys should have stayed longer. Quite the show!

Hopefully you have better luck dealing with precision.

Just waited two months and me calling them to look at the dam thing.

They won't cover mine, not even try to work with me on a replacement.

They don't have parts to fix most turbos in stock and the customer service sucks.
You guys all ways had great customer service at S&R.
I wish you luck, since you all know I have none with this car. Its just gonna rot.

I don't remember the exact model but it is something like a 7688. It is there equivalent of the Garrett 4088.

The car was really sounding good and the numbers were coming up fast. SOunded awesome through the 4in exhaust.

Since we deal with a lot of Precision turbos, and we just bought two for the twin turbo Viper were are doing, hopefully we will not have a problem with them.

Even if I have to buy a new one I will have one soon. The sad part is the $150 in polishing and jet coating. I don't know if the polished housing to too damaged to use again if I rebuilt it.
