I was about to trade in my S for a new Ranger last weekend, everything was going good, the prices on the trucks are actually really good for what you get! Then they appraised my 07 S2K in pretty much pristine condition besides its high mileage and came back with $12,500!!!!!

Needless to say, I just got up and walked out the door. What an insult, I still cant comprehend how they thought they could get away with something that ridiculous! I then went down the street to the next Ford and got appraised for $17k, but Im going to try to get a little more out of them before I sign the deal. Sucks how bad these cars have depreciated over the last 6 months even...

 

I got 12.5 for my 02 when I traded it in, and it wasn't near pristine....just FYI. Glad to hear you're holding out for more, because it's worth it!

Take your car to a few Honda stores , I emphasize the multiple dealers and let them tell you what theyll buy it fom you for .Tell them you own the car out right and you are looking to sell it because ou are headed back to Iraq for 18 months in45 days . Any that are a stand up dealer will show you the black book and you will know exactly what the car is worth . I would not take 12500 for my 01
