I wish it was On Sat Night.....Fridays are a stretch to make it back to the tampa area. We usually sit at home and drink martinis that night.

How about a Bradenton sushi meet: Sam O jung. Small place in a shopping plaza but way good. Othr stuff for the non sushi eater. We could then do a cruize out to somewhere.

To all you sushi haters.....Not all sushi has raw fish in it. Sushi refers to the rice. I guarantee if you were to try a soft shell crab roll you would go crazy....the crab is fried crispy then rolled with rice and vegetables. Nothing raw in it.

Now sashimi is the real raw deal. Mmmmm mouth waters just thinking about it.

Off topic but must share: We were out with a large group at a japanese steak house in sarasota when the chef accidently cut himsel so bad that he had to leave the table. Of course there were the comments of " I have dibs on the thumb" . Another chef came out and finished and then the first chef came out and appologised to everyone at the table and expressed his shame. it was memorable evening.

mexican rolls, tampa rolls and many others utilize tempura style ingredients (battered and fried = fully cooked) they are just as enjoyable as other traditional sushi items and are a staple of my orders.

scallops special temaki (hand roll) and white tuna sashimi are the foods of the gods...

warning: too much white tuna will produce an Olean effect...nuff said

I am up for just about anything anywhere. we need to make the meeting time later or something to compensate for people's drive time.

Bradenton is equally difficult for us in tampa/largo...but we rarely plan for stuff in the south and we should represent down there more often.

Plus Chip has the goods on good cruises down in that area.

Nah! Keep it at Tsunami and we're there. The place has the best sushi the wife and I have ever eaten and we eat a lot of sushi. They also have traditional meat/rice/salad combos for the sushi h8er. Not cheap but what sushi place is.

Even if you don't do a meet there Barry, let me know sometime and we can hit this place.
