Default Viper on Patrol

Just had the Viper with proximity sensor installed today. I does everything the big fancy ones do without the two way pager.

The proximaty sensor will not let you get within 18 inches of the closed top. One other feature I like is that it locks the doors when the key is turned on and unlocks them when you turn the engine off.

$479 out the door installed. Install is VERY clean.

Like I said....I will sleep much better tonight

Mad Mark's In Bradenton. They treated me very well. The alarm is on sale right now. It would have been $100 more off sale.

Yes, Directed Electronics is the parent company of:
Polk Audio, Viper, Definitive Technology, Python, Clifford, Orion, Precision Power, Autostart and Astroflex. They also have an association with Sirius.

After they overtook Precision Power and Orion, I think it was in the late 90's, they drastically reduced the quality of these components. (specs suffered).

I believe the Clifford, (which I own) and the Viper are quite identical.

Anyways, congrats on the purchase. Extremely good price!!! (I paid $600 plus tax 2 1/2 yrs. ago). Proximity detection, although maybe not foolproof, it HAS to be a deterrant!!!

I got my Viper alarm installed at Best Buy on 66th St in St Pete. I think they did a great job and I got a great price.
