I just booked under my name. Nothing is set up as far as a group rate so they wouldn't know if any of us are booked. Barry said he was going to try forms group rate but no guarantee. So I would just go ahead and book a room

Registered, Booked in Highlands and Tapoca. They even found us a room for all three nights, so we don't have to crash on someone's floor one of the nights.
Car's almost done. Hope to have it back together and on the ground this weekend. Need alignment and tires and I'm ready.

FYI
I have been talking with the hotel and unfortunately they are not offering any discount and in fact she wanted me to sign a contract guaranteeing a minimum number of rooms. I am not and will not do that, it is crazy to ask any one person to be on the hook for rooms especially when they are not willing to offer a lower rate.
Bottom line is we all need to make our reservations separately like Ron mentioned and has done. I see where several of you have followed his suggestion/lead. (Good Call Ron)

We have decided to stay in Highlands Wednesday (4/20) evening and we will leave for Tapoco Lodge Thursday morning. I am unsure of the time however I would guess sometime between 9:00AM and 10:00AM.
The plan is to still meet at the Grocery Store in Highlands for breakfast and to stock up on craft beer etc. before leaving.
Lets coordinate a time so we can meet you, what time can you be there?

Looks like we have a small group this year which will be nice and easy to drive up together. The Jacksonville crew will not be meeting is this year because they are heading straight up to Tapoco. Lets plan on meeting at our usual location Cracker Barrel off 75 at SR50 at 7am. Please be gassed up and ready to leave at 7am. We can take our usual route using the backroads.

Since it was a new home base jax voted to go straight to tapoco. a few are headed up monday and tuesday. I do want to try the Highland location if you guys like it this year. If any of you golf check out their golf course condition and pricing while there. Maybe next year we can hit 18 before the drive WTD. looking forward to seeing you guys in NC.
