yea i tried it on my beater a year or so ago......just made things worse

Yes, that is the exact one. Maybe not where he got it.

But the thin panels of our cars are not good with this device.

Do you think I can remove the two stand offs on the side and just use it as a handle, grab it on both ends to pull it out by hand?

i would not advise it........just take it to a reputable dent station. should cost 100 or so.

I would, but unfortunately the dent shop can't get behind the panel. I'll get some pics up later.
