Default AAA

Just thinking about becoming an AAA member. Jason said something about bringing his card...so I was like maybe I should invest in a little more insurance.
Ironically we just became a AAA service provider, hopefully we can get a discount for the family.
But I was just wanting your opinions, is it worth it. I don't really know much about it, I have never really worried about a tow, b/c I could just call home and have them bring me a truck. But with the upcoming WTD and SESM I'll be pretty far from home and I read on their website that with the Plus membership that it's 100 mile tow. So that would help with the fuel bill if one of our trucks come pick me up.

AARP and AAA are about the same...AAA is a lil higher but AARP has a better rate for the whole more mileage in towing part. You can get airline tickets cheaper through AAA for some reason lol! I have AARP now and I switched for the reason that if I go over the 100 miles in towing its only going to be $2.10 a mile instead of the AAA special of $6.50 a mile. It all depends on how much you want to pay out a year! I look at the companies like this...either one of them are going to be great. Believe me its worth every penny because you never know what can happen to your car and towing is outrageous these days. AAA has saved me so many times from the Money Pit Prelude I had. Any other ? retaining to pricing or anything just let me know. I try to chime in here when I can.

I have had AAA for my entire driving life. It has been a huge convienence in the past when I have had cars break down in random states for random reasons.

When my engine blew AAA also covered about half the cost of the tow which was around 200 miles. It's not a bad service and their secondary benefits are nice if you remember to use them.

I got AAA when I bought the S. Have not had to use it thankfully, but I would hate to not have it if I broke down.
