Default Berk HFC Check Engine Light Fix

Hey guys,
I have a 2008 and after putting on the Berk HFC, I got a check engine light ofcourse. I did a search and found out I need to get some defoulers at Autozone and try putting them in by the O2 sensor and the cat. Anybody do this before or know someone who can help me or know of a place I can take my car? I don't have the tools otherwise I'd try it myself. That CEL is so annoying and I have emissions coming up and was hoping I didn't have to uninstall the cat just to pass it :-(

Give Drew a call at DM.... you'll need (2) 18mm spark plug anti-fowlers. The first one has to be drilled all the way through with a 1/2" drill bit. This is the one the O2 sensor screws into, then screw the second anti-fowler into the test pipe and thread your O2 sensor/anti-fowler combo into the anti-fowler in the test pipe. Easy job if you have the 1/2" drill bit. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes start to finish.

I have done it before, like Jordan said, 10-15 minutes and you are done.

I'm all for supporting Drew, but do it yourself lol Especially if you installed the testpipe yourself, the fowler trick is much easier than the install. Of course, you need the drill and bits, but

It is "slap yo mama" easy there is a ton of diy's out there for civic's and many other makes. But it is all the same. You are just backing the o2 sensor out of the flow of the exhaust gasses by putting a spacer (2 18mm stacked spark plug defoulers). One of the defoulers has to be bored out so the 02 sensor will fit inside. I did mine with a regular drill, and vise grips to hold the defouler. I think I used a titanium drill bit though. You then screw the defoulers into your test pipe and then screw in the 02 sensor. clear the codes or just drive 100 miles or so and the cel will be gone.

Even if you're lacking the correct tools etc. Just order one off eBay. There's plenty on there. Then you just need to screw in and you're set.
