Default Car audio

Looking to upgrade the speakers and add some kind of sub at some point.

Needless to say, the factory system is junk. But I've been out of the car audio scene for a while and looking for brand/model advice.

Looking more for quality than it being loud. I listen to a wide range of music, from rock to rap and some times some country depending on whos in the car.

post up! with links!!!

Here's the head unit that I bought for the S that tanner had.

alpine ida-x303

I'll be putting it in the explorer.

Sonicelectronix.com pretty much where I get everything from... get a decent set of component speakers for the front and rear and if you're going to get an amp and sub....get a 10" as those seem to have the best performance across multiple genres....

I love infinity speakers..... kenwood has gone down the toilet though in almost all respects.....they used to be a good company for head units...now they almost all suck.
