Default Clutch replacement

I was thinking of putting in a comptech flywheel and a stock clutch/pp since I need a new clutch/flywheel anyway. I'm going to have to do it myself, so any hints or anyone who wants in can lemme know.

BTW, I'm back and plan on staying.

P.S. DSR, glad to see you back in an S!

A little while back someone offered a garage with a lift for a mod/maintenance day, but there weren't enough projects to do at the time. Maybe there's more people looking to do some car stuff now that the weather has gotten nicer.

I would not want to do the S clutch myself. If you do end up going with a new setup I would pick up an ACT pressure plate OEM disk and Comptech flywheel.

Pricing on the ACT PP is twice that of the stock. It's not an option financially. Also, I have to do it myself, having a shop do it isn't an option either. Things like this just cost too much. Also, the chances of finding a shop that will do it right is a crapshoot and I can't afford to risk it. They've even had stories of Honda Dealerships not putting bolts back into place. Specifically, the bolt by the firewall that you can't see and have to use u-joints and extensions to get to.

I would never do this on the floor, One of my friends up here works for Honda and might be able to do it at work under the table. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you. I have no doubt that I am capable of the work but I'm not getting under the car on jackstands and lowering the subframe, I just don't trust the car not falling on me.

I'll probably do it on ramps up front and jackstands in the rear. It's probably my only choice. Go ahead and get the price from your friend, I just don't think it's an option.

West KY? Sold!

Seriously, if you would let me, I should have no issues getting there.

I plan on getting the clutch in a week or two, then replacing it the weekend after.
So you what weekend were you thinking? April 29th, May 6th or May 13th.
