Hobnobbing is cool. You could potentially make some good contacts for later. Even better depending on what kind of party it is you could have some evidence for later too.

 

I wish that were true, but this an excercise in futility - I usually use my get out of jail free card for these events, but due to internal politics I am going. total b.s. grrrr oh and our f'ing biz hub just crapped out on us - greaaaaat
