Default GM Solstice

A buddy brought home a Pontiac Solstice and I went for a ride today. Nice alternative to the Miata but not even close to the league of the S2000. I ragged him a little so now I have to go to Music City Raceway, Union Hill, and smoke him on the 8th mile next Tuesday night. I just hope I don't tear anything up trying to cut a good light. I've never done it! Oh well, we'll see.

Heck go to Beech Bend and get a full 1/4 mile. I never liked 1/8 mile strips in a Honda ... just when you're getting the car wound up, it's time to shut down.

Good Idea. I checked their web site and it looks like they also have a Tuesday night open track. I never knew that but I will call first.

I have one rear tire with zero tread from the center all the way to the inside edge. If they have an inspection before they send you down the track they may not let me go. Do any tire stores in Nashville stock Sumitomo tires before I order them from the Tire Rack?

I always just went through tire rack because I get mounted and balanced for free. I would buy some Kumho MX's if your looking for cheap good tires.

Sumitomo came on the car when I bought it last year and the fronts are still good. When I get to the point of replacing all 4 I will more than likely go with a different tire.

How do you get free mounting and balancing from the tire rack on replacement tires? My wheels are here.

Well the Union Hill trip did not pan out. Probably for the better anyway. He really just wanted to play with the car before he has to give it back on Friday.
