Hello all
Congrats on your purchase!
The bond will only become more impressive.
Very few white S's in the area.
There's not a great deal of action in this forum but plenty of info on the site. There's a meet coming the 3rd week of April that you might be interested in (Spring dragon run - it has it's own forum). It will probably be huge - over 100 cars last Spring.

thanks...i am also in the BMW car club (smoky mtn chapter) and have been for 3 years. i broke away and went for the s2000 and i think that i made the right decision. i know that in the BMW club we meet every month and try to do a "drive" also once a month. i enjoy the time spent with other members and cars and i wondered if anyone around here with the s did the same. would like to talk to other s owners and such. one of the other members in the area in the BMW club also owns an s2000...
There seems to be a rather loose coalition of locals who meet up occasionally but the numbers and times between are few. I've met about 6 or 7 and they all seem to be mature personable fellows. Unfortunately many (like me
) seem to have way to many balls in the air. Kaolinte (Jason) has just usurped the coveted Community Organizer position and has been trying to stir up a little action lately.

2KS2K, welcome to our world of S2000. I think the more time goes by, the more you will appreciate the car.
Ravenwerk is right about our loose coalition. If you saw Jason's post, 'dinner anyone,' you noted that just trying to get us together for dinner was like herding cats. Hopefully that might work out once before Christmas.
What is great about getting together, when it actually does happen, is having the opportunity to look at the various modifications to get ideas on how to improve performance and appearance. Besides, as Robin said, I have found everyone that I have met in the group good people to hang out with....

Welcome to the family 2K S2K. You will not regret your decision to purchase the S. This is truly a car guy's car. Just remember, the newest member buys the drinks.

I drive a red S, and I live in West Knoxville. I may have seen you the other day near Best Buy or something. Sorry I did not wave, I had my hands full.
Do you have any picsof your ride?
my camera broke so as of now i cannot get any pics of my s. i am going to work on it though...yeah i think that i saw you at best buy but i was also in the middle of hooking up my xm radio, which by the way is so nice to have in the car.....
It is nice to meet you Grainger. I am glad to see that you are moving back to Knoxville. We could always use a few more S2000 enthusiasts. I hope to see you guys at the meet and greet next week (if you have time).
Congrats, and I'll add you to our list of members.
