Default Help doing a Mod. Possible "Car meet"?

S2kAttracks has offered his garage up more than once before and the weather has been good. I am looking to do this mod and didnt want to do it alone because I am not really good mechanically nor am I familiar with S2000s as much as I would like (only owned the car a few months).

I want to do this:
MY04-05-06 clutch delay slave cylinder removal.

Its annoying. Any slight dump results in nothing fun except a slow surge of acceleration. I thought I was a shietty driver at first but after some research it turns out my inability to "get on it" may have more to do with this CDV than me.

Let me know what day might work for you Matt and of course I could use an oil change and such as well while were under there. I am not a mechanic so anyone who knows anything would be welcome so long as Matt agreed. I can supply beer as payment for your help.

here is the writeup DIY for the slave replacement. Any feedback is appreciated:

I've never done that mod, but I will check the link out.

I can't do this weekend I know that cause I'm gone, but should be clear after that.

if I'm in town, I'd be more than willing to stop by and hang out/lend a hand.

I'll keep an eye on the tentative date.

Thought about just swapping in aa 03 so you ahve yours to put back in should you need to go to the dealer? Might be a faster, easier option.

They run like 70 bucks.

I dont think ill ever need to go to the stealership. Thats the honest truth. I didnt buy this car from a dealer and I never have and prob never will. I was leaning towards this mod over an 03 replacement because of the lower cost (free) and the fact that the 03 is a short unit which could mean some hose cutting from what I read. Ill have to do some more research.

Matt thanks again for the location. We will wait until next week to make plans. Im not going anywhere if its below 40 degrees...

ps I work for a filter company which makes awesome filters compared to some of the crap out there. Ive personally seen the test results so i know these are good filters (although i understand some people are all OEM only). Anyway, I was going to grab a few for hondas for people who want to do an oil change.

Hmmm, ill try one I guess.

Also, one that link you posted, someone did the 03 and didn't cut any hoses. It just had a little more slack.

I thought about doing this mod too when I had my S. I don't remember but I did hear about some downside to doing this. I forget, sorry. Eventually, I just learned to drive the car better
