Default How much does it cost to license in TN?

So, my plates, although new, are going to be due up in February. I was wondering how much it would cost me to license my car in TN as opposed to Ohio. Im aware y'all have a wheel tax down there, BUT, we have a front plate up here, which I would love to get rid of! So, how much does it cost y'all to license your cars per year down there? If its anywhere around 75.00/year, Ill definitely do that. Im paying 68.00/year now, but thats for a vanity plate (MGP2K).

Thanks,
Matt

Well heck! Now, you just have a regular TN plate, right? How much would be it be for either a Carson-Newman logo plate, or a plate with the vanity I currently have (or something close) Also, Im assuming I would have to get a TN driver's license, wouldn't I? Although next year, I have to get a new OH license anyways since Im turning 21. *ducks*

the wheel tax was a couple extra bucks that was tacked onto registration. It was supposed to go to education and help fund after school programs and its impact has been debateable.

Any for a vanity plate i think its an extra 75 bucks or something.

Oh, here I thought it was like, 150.00 to register in TN. Cool, now, does anyone know how I go about doing this? Does this affect the title at all? Any legalities I might be overlooking?

Nope, brought mine into TN - no longer pay $600/year tax like I did in Myrtle Beach. Process is less than 30 minutes. Jamie.

Jefferson County Clerk

New regular license plate and title - $59.50 I *think* this is what it would be.

Should have everything you need to know. The office is in dandridge.
