I'm Back
I haven't been on here in months and months. So long in fact I need to renew my membership. My motor is finally in the final stages of completion. After machine shop issues, family issues, hospital time, money floating away, parts issues, and various other hold-ups, things seem to finally be on track after 8 months. My block is sleeved, my custom Wiseco 11.5:1 pistons are in, the sleeves have been bored to match each piston, the rods are back from shot peening and cryo, the crank goes off for balancing on Tuesday and then to cryo. The car is getting hauled backed to Knoxville next week for the engine pull and gear install. If I have to go one more summer without this car I am going lose it. I could take a little extra time to wait to install a clutch and flywheel but impatience is getting the best of me. Not too much longer before I can join in on all the Smokey Mountain fun again.
I'll take pics of what i got here in the shop .which is just my crank and rods. Nothing too exciting...and i guess a pic of my external oil pressurizing system. It's here. I'm getting ready to wash off the car seeing as how it's sat uncovered for 5 months. All that exposure to the elements has destroyed my J's Racing "ricer wing", it needs to be painted or sold. I will put a few parts for sale on here probably. I need to upgrade some of my upgrades.
As to what it will do... Wiseco accidentally sent a set of 9.0:1 pistons the first time around. My grandfather asked me if I wanted to keep them and do a turbo setup for power than i will ever see with NA. I told him to send them back so I would not be tempted to boost the car anymore. I know if I boost it I will blow it. (You can't spell TROUBLE without TURBO) So now what I'm left with will be at least a healthy 230+ whp NA that i can rev on all day long. He says that he can undoubtedly get a little more power than that once we get into the valve train and computer which will be the case. I'm doing this so I never have to deal with a broken motor due to a rev happy right foot. I'll be happy with whatever it makes as long as it is more than the previous 219whp. At 11.5:1 it better make some power.

I'm doing another thread on my oil system in the Under The Hood forum. Once my block gets back I can take some good pics. My grandfather was wanting to know this weekend why I wanted to post pics of some measly rods and a crank. Next time I go down I can show you all my oil system goodies. Oil accumulator/pre luber, oil cooler from a winston cup car, remote oil filter kit that uses a huge Fram HP4-HP1 oil filter, shiny braided lines and AN fittings, and one thing most people will never see... it's called a UFO (because it looks like a flying saucer. When I get a pic I'll explain it's purpose.) I hope all of this stuff fits under the hood. I need to get rid of my ARC intake system... that would make a lot more room. Normal people would not understand why people would want to see such parts, but come on. After bitten by the car bug though you'd drive to your buddy's house just to see his new lugnuts and oil cap...at least I would.

What are your thoughts on what the motor will do?
