Go with at least an 02 model. You'll get the rear glass instead of plastic and thats a real bonus!

My 02 has over 138K and I still rip it to 9 daily.

yea, the plastic window doesn't bother me any...I would have the top down all the time anyway and would more than likely get a hardtop for the winter...I'm more concerned with the oil issue

I would go AP2, that's just me though. 04+

If you get an 06 you can hondata flash it, or you can K-Pro any S.

Most of the issues with earlier models was listed. I had an 00 and an 04. Diff, inner axle cv joints, timing chain tensioner, oil jets. The 02-03 also get a new ecu with a little leaner fuel curve. Cosmetics and interior slightly changed in 04 along with the 2.2 motor and red line decreased to 8k instead of 9k. There is absolutely no big difference as far as the redline goes from 9 to 8. Don't be fooled if told otherwise. The 04+ just gives a little more smooth mid range and bump in power there to help make the car more livable.

oh as far as what's next for me. STi or 370z, possibly Nismo. I also am entertaining an Exige, I need to go see a guy's Elise first though. I've been driving a ton of cars. I don't expect to buy anything though this year. Probably first of next year.
