Lowering car....
I am thinking of lowering my car due to the fender-gap. Does anyone know of a reputable shop to install coilovers or is this something I can do on my own considering I am capable if I have the right tools (spring compressor?).
Also, anyone have any suggestions as to what is a good set of coilovers? I heard a lot about Tein, Buddy Club, etc. etc. etc.

As coils go I would keep an eye on the FS boards. If you dont plan to track your car just about anything will suit you just fine. A set of Tein flex's or RA's would be affordable and reliable. If you want a stiffer ride the Buddy Clubs are a good coil as well. If you are looking to spend over $1200 (used) then it's a more complicated discussion.
Why spend a lot of money on a coilover setup? If you are lowering the car for looks, just get a set of Eibach springs (-1 in F & R)..........Oh wait, I have a set of eibach springs for sale. How about $125.00. Compare that to the $1200.00 set of coilovers, and I think the choice is clear.
Good luck, and this is definitely a do-it-yourself type project.

I was thinking about getting coilovers, but since I don't track or autoX, I will be looking into getting the springs. I've read about the Eibach Pro Kit and read on here about the Espelir springs. Have you all had any problems with rubbing issues by just replacing the springs only? I have 17's so just wondering. Also, is the Eibach drop in and go..... no need to do anything else?? All help appreciated......
