I want to hold a mini-get-together in Memphis so everyone here can kinda get to know one another. We seem to have had a population boom around here and I want to meet everyone. Nashville, Ablabama, you guys are free to come, and anyone out of town needing a place to crash, I have a spare room. Lets throw out ideas for times. I also want some ideas for activities, we can just get together for mod days and whatnot, but I was hoping someone had some occasion happening soon that'd be worth making an S2Ki show for. Ideas?

 

I'm up for it. I have never been there though so I cant even begin to guess what there is to do or drive.

 

I do know there are some sweet backroads just north, around the Millington area.

 

What about some track time in Millington? Is Memphis MotorSports Park still open? I've been there a bunch for motorcycle racing years ago.

If you can rent that track for a day I bet you would have a big showing. I'd be in for that!

 

I've always wanted to do that, but I'd think it'd be damnedable expensive. I will look into it. Maybe we could get a huge meet together...I was thinking something small to start, but I'll see what it costs to rent some track time.

 

So, like 3k for a Saturday road track rental. Nice if we could get 100 peeps to pay $30 a pop?

 

100 people would be tough, but even $150 for 20 people isnt bad at all. Thats pretty much what I expect an average track day to cost. Not including the damage to my car, plus new tires, plus the wet spot Jake would leave on my passenger seat.

 

I suppose I could put that together, but $150 is pretty tough for me personally to come up with. I'd assume the same for a large contingent of our fellow S2Kiers.

 

Let me know when and I'll be there. We could all meet up at my shop by Wolfchase mall.
