Default It might be time...

As some of you may know, I have been toying with the idea of selling my (Jacks old) S. I never planned on it and even though with a baby on the way I can still make it work. Now though she will be going back to school and her (POS) 08 PT Cruiser has major issues every 3 monthes so that needs to go, I just can't trust it with a baby. In one year at 80k miles its needed a rebuilt head, both front sealed wheel bearings and it idles really funny, meanwhile my beater 95 civic runs like a champ. Anyway...

I think with everything going on its just a good idea to limit my expenses for a while, and the fact that selling the S will payoff all my credit card debt from the wedding and honeymoon. Also I'm going to 2 colleges at the same time, Full time, while working a Salaried oncall job. Throw in a baby and now the little time I have for the car on the weekends is gone. So instead of tighter money and no time to enjoy it, I think its just a good idea to part ways and let someone else deafen the cars around them on the Dragon

Currently it is an 00'Berlina with 41k miles. I can tell you 2nd redlines at about 90mph.. still 4 more gears to go..
Plus the SC whine and the Ti exhaust sound amazing.

Drivetrain
Stage 3 comp clutch with

11 lb flywheel

Suspension

Cusco Swaybar
RE01 front 60%
StarSpecs Rear 90%
Enkei RPF1 17x8's
Keyed lug nuts

Appearance

Red Emblems and Black Chrome emblems (was swapping over)
Painted valvecover

Interior
Apline IDA-X303 digital HU
XM-Receiver never installed
AEM UEGO Wideband
AEM Tru boost gauge
AEM ECT module

I bought it from Jack and then the common issue of the SC causing bolts to break at the Vtec solinoid happened. I had to replace the head to fix the messed up threads and then I figured I might as well do the valvetrain. Since the build I took it to the dragon where it performed great. I had an issue with used washers failing and fuel spraying at the rail, but those washers were just replaced and its perfect again. I have put on 2k miles since rebuild.

With the Meth, smaller pulley, and new valvetrain 1 quick install and tune could bump this up to 400WHP. All its missing is a $500 tune and you get 75 more horses.. I never did due to the other build and then the debate of selling or not.

Currently KBB for the stock car is 14k, add in 10k in addons, all under 10k miles old or less. I'm asking $18,000. Thats only 4 grand for 10,000 in mods. Offers and test drive welcome.

I know the feeling man... When I traded my S in for the FX35 last Tuesday, I was so sad....

But on the bright side... I have the 08 FX35 and it's AWD! Bring on the snow!

Good luck with the sale and I know you're sad just like I was.

Actually an FX35 is what we will probably replace her PT cruiser with.

Even though I could I afford to keep it, seller her will free up about $500 a month between car payments and using the sale to pay off the debt. Also I don't really want to carry my new kid in my old 95 civic so I need something, newer so I can get a warranty and with a backseat. I figure after the sale I will be almost no debt, my credit score will spike back up and will no monthly obligations, I can then just get a used 2004 M3 for around 20k. Still fun, but can seat more than 1 1/2 ppl.

Also by next year I will be at a new job, making another 20k and then I can really build a serious machine from the ground up. So I definitely plan on getting another S, I just need a little space to reorganize things for a while. I only got married 1 year ago and she got pregnant a few months later so this was certainly not the plan. I was content with driving my beater civic when the S was down, but apparently things change when I have to think about a little one.

LOL Yea I do. But getting a loan on a 12 year old car would be a pain, and the interest rate would suck ass if I could get one. I had to pull strings to get the loan when it was 10 years old. When I had it and barely drove it, it sat in a garage but since I moved into an apartment theres a waiting list on garages and its not sitting out side if I own it.
