It seems that someone is really interested in trading my Red panels for his black ones. I would rather have black interior anyway. Now this seems to be a sought after thing for those with black interior...at least those who'd prefer red interior. My question is: If he already asked first, would you put the trade up for a simulated auction type to try and get more for the trade out?

I think that if I advertised a bit more on the board, I could get some others to counter offer and maybe get away with more than this guy is offering....tempting, but is it amoral?

I think if it's a trade, it's a trade. Dead even, if you want black and he wants red...just trade. No need to cause problems over such trivial parts. The great thing about this board is it seems a lot of people help each other without doing it for the $ sometimes. Just remember, there may be a time when you think you got first dibs on a part and it gets sold behind your back to a higher bidder even though you had first dibs.

Well, I haven't been so bold as to promise or give dibs or anything, but he was the first to respond. But I would be lying if I said the money wasn't tempting.

So you are selling yours and buying new? Is that correct? If you've not agreed to anything then I say you're OK. But otherwise I agree with what DSR said...how would you feel in the same position?
