Default My Weekend Project

I got an EZ-Top hoist a few weeks ago, but haven't had the time to install it. The construction of the hoist is top-notch and the installation went really smooth. Now I can finally store the hardtop and get my top down!!!!

Tony that's really nice. You didn't have to fabricate anything for that did you? Just assemble and screw in?

Nick - everything for the hoist comes as part of the kit (hoist frame, pulleys, cable, winch, etc.). The hoist frame is made out of boxed aluminum and bolts together. It also has quick release pins for the side arms to allow you to get them inside the top. The pads are made out of lambswool so they will not scratch the top. There's also foam rubber attached to the underside of the hoist frame so if it does happen to touch any part of the top it won't damage it. The way the pads come in contact with the top, there is no chance of the hoist touching any of the seals or weather stripping.

Rob - pics of the hoist with the top in it are coming. I just haven't had time to get them off my camera.
