New guy!
Hey guys, I've been a "resident" of fort campbell for 16 months, with 12 of them actually spent in Afghanistan lol. I guess I ought to introduce myself and my s2k history.
My names David, 22, in the military. Originally from Missouri, lil hick town about an hour south of St. Louis. First car was a 1967 Thunderbird w/ a 428 (for sale btw lol) My 2nd car, and the car I invested the most money in was a 94 Honda Prelude, H22 (jdm spec swap) etc. Sold.
Bought my first s2000 (my04 black/black) in Dec of 08. I spent a total amount of 3 weeks behind the wheel, 2 while i was home on leave in dec, 1 in march. Got plowed into while on my way back into missouri by some F*in idiot. Totalled. Didnt even have time to mod it
I looked at every s2000 that was listed within 350 miles of my home town in misosuri. Found my beauty (my00 silver/black) in upper Arkansas. I'm working on modding it. Its a very slow process, the Army isn't a lucrative career.
Current Mods Installed are Buddy Club Header, Invidia Test Pipe, Buddy Club Pro Spec Dual exhaust. I have a Pioneer Premeir Head Unit, With Pioneer Promeir speakers installed in the doors.
Right now I have some more little things to put on the car. But due to a situation I cannot put them on right now.
During my tour in afghanistan I sustained a few minor injuries, mostly noncombat related, but not all. I've underwent my first foot surgery (left foot). Currently cannot put any weight on it, so I am unable to drive my beloved S2k, and am forced to drive my wife's Chevy Cobalt. lol. I've taken this time to have some work done that I can't do myself. I had a gear going out in my tranny, and while I've got it cracked open I'm hoping (if finances allow) to in a Competition Clutch and Flywheel.
Anyway, I realise I'm getting a little longwinded so I'll wrap it up! I've got an AEM V2, S-pods with the Pioneer Preimeer speakers to fit in it all sitting in my storage at the moment.
What I'm hoping to get out of this is to meet some car guys. S2k guys are even better! I dont know very many people around here, I'm willing to drive, and I'm just looking to dive into the car community here like I had previously. If you have any questions, or know of ANY meets. I'd love to hear of them, and I'd love to come. Thanx Guys
