what's the latest on the house sitiamation?
still looking, getting tired of going out every weekend to decide we like our neighborhood best for schools/proximity to stuff/lot size... learning a lot about the area though-didn't realize how many working cattle farms were in Brentwood(SE area), LOL, always thought it was just a yuppie N'vegas commuter suburb. there's a house vacant just a couple houses up from us that was owned by an elderly couple, and the husband passed away, but it's not up for sale, and we don't know who or how to broach the subject with whoever is in possession of it... we're thinking about waiting and seeing what will pop up here as spring rolls in and more houses end up on the market.

real estate can be such a crap shoot... I'm pretty sure over half of the neighbors couldn't have afforded the prices of the houses here if they hadn't bought when they did (most were bought in the '90s, when they were less than half their current value).

That's our situation as usual - we can't afford where we live - we got a crackhead deal. Taxes keep going up though - I'd hate it if we had to move again like we did when Historic Nashville told our poser behinds to gtfo. I have wine tastes in areas to live with a beer pocket book...
