I want a German Shepherd too once I ever can get room for it. My backyard isn't fenced in and that's too big of a dog for me to have in the house. Growing up we had two that was mother and son, they were awesome. I want one trained in all German though.

Shutzhund FTW They are $$$$ though. There is a GSD rescue not far from here, but I don't need a maladjusted, abused or kittah eating dog.

I need a dog smart enough to run the house

My grandfather had them, they made quite an impression. Nobody got by that dog. If he didn't want you in the house you wouldn't be getting within 30 yards of it without being wounded.
