Is everyone sitting at work bored out of their minds?

5 isn't getting here quick enough.

Wife saw Prometheus. Told me everything. Now that the crippling fear is gone (well, it never fully leaves) I'll probably see it. Actually, I am kinda disappointed that it went the way it did. If Ridley Scott really set out to explain the origins of the Space Jockeys he did a piss poor job because he created more questions and some inconsistencies with his own film, Alien.

eh..... (I was actually just discussing this topic with someone here) I agree and disagree. I feel sufficiently satisfied with the space jockeys. I felt like things were .... more or less... reasonably presented in regards to Alien.

One of the things that made alien so great was just the classic trick of what you don't see is worse than what you do see. There was a lot of suspense, and new concepts that we've never seen before, so on and so forth. Not much of that with this movie. So, not much to be afraid of.

There are a few major things that I REALLY didn't like, but for the most part, I just discarded them.
So... no, it's not perfect, no, it's not alien... but it was a pretty decent space movie.

I enjoyed it. Read online that the, if there is one, sequel to Prometheus is going to be a direct prequel to original Alien.

I get the impression people were seeking perfection. I was more interested in my assumption that an answer was to come, not "let me answer your question with a question"
