That big car payment is still there too - even with a used Vette. We're talking next to nothing down here. How did this turn into me getting another car? I ain't even in the market. I'm going to ride the G37 thing out another year & see where I'm at in Jan 2014. Which will probably be the same - no money for anything fun in 2014 & beyond.

Just go with it sissy.

I think the issue w/ the fuel economy is more shock value than anything else. I would argue to say that your enjoyment is worth more than the fuel cost savings that are scaring you away.

Consider you choose a '13 V8 Corvette over a Prius. I think those are the most extreme cases. Based on driving 300 miles a week....you're paying around 2,500$ more a year in fuel on the Corvette.

IMO HP/Fun/Vette is worth more than $2,500 (more) than a Prius IMO. (M) being the big factor here. YMMV

Lots of letters there

On the other hand, I think there's hope to your future. The trends on high end cars are moving toward smaller sized motors w/ FI.

What about Audi TT?

Not when it is strictly for commuting to work & I'm carpooling. The fun factor diminishes. stfu old man while I drive recklessly & listen to music you hate at obscene volumes. right now as crappy as it is - I need to carpool too. So supa fast gas guzzler won't work. That's like having a hot stripper girlfriend who you never get to f@#k. By the time you get to work - your wang is out of your pants & she's been stroking it a tad, but you gotta zip it up & go inside. NO FUN.
