basement window looks like an easy place to slink out of in that scenario ^ most of the time the lower level floor doesnt collapse..and it's certainly a better option than being where upstairs used to be

what I noticed was that the basements were mostly just where whatever didn't blow away collapsed into


anyway, pretty much as long as you have a pipe and a belt, it's really no big deal

TN doesn't have many basements because there is so much friggin rock here. If the house is on a sloped lot its easier because of the block foundation, but that's one of the main reasons not a ton of homes here have them.

I love my basement. Main reason I bought it. Can't wait to get it all cleaned up (junk hauled out )so I can have more room to move around and work....
