I remember Zips. I remember wanting them since they made you run faster... Then there was Kanagaroos... didn't get those either. So no lunch money in my shoes for me.

I got whatever Kenny Shoes or Sears had. The 1st pair of name brand shoes I ever got were Vans. I managed to get by with 2 pair before they were vetoed on account of how they fell apart almost instantaneously.

Love my chucks. They were good back in the day if your parents weren't forking out 100$ for Reebok Pumps AND you refused to wear LA Gear.

I also have 5-6 pair of chucks w/ more on the way

I remember in first grade I used to have these brown suede shoes that had a sole that was like melted rubber bands. I busted my ass 1,000 times in those stupid things because the grip was like superglue every time you put your foot down.
