Brad ... on the reasonable side, if the cat wasn't rattling like it had previously done for you, and the pipes weren't rattling with the debris, it's perfectly logical to move that item further down the list based on the symptoms you were having.
Maybe the long ride on the trailer, without the pressure of the flowing exhaust, was what it took to loosen that stuff up .... kind-of like administering an enema to one of your patients
It was funny as hell, though, to see those pieces of the cat come shooting out of your pipes when you laid down on the gas.
