You would have to be going crazy fast to break a wheel into pieces.

I take that back....you would have to be going crazy fast.....possibly dip off the side of the road....OVER correct...and begin rolling the car....to break a wheel into pieces.

I posted that in s2k talk a while back. can't remember how I found it.

Actually it isn't that hard to break a wheel....how would I know? Well, I've done it.

In 1996 I lived in Atlanta. I was on the way to work with a friend, and was in a big hurry to get there. It was raining and I had bald rear tires. I went around a curve too fast,(45mph) and lost the rear end of my 88 mustang. I'm not sure how I didn't hit anyone, but the car spun around a couple of times and I almost caught it. But I didn't and ended up facing the oposite direction running up over the curb. After checking to make sure my friend was ok I started the car up and tried to pull away.

The engine was running fine, I put it in gear the engine reved but we were not moving at all. My friend thinks we are stuck in the mud, and jumps out to see if he can help push out.....then he says " Uh....Andy, you better get over here and have a look at this." I walk around the car and find my my rear wheel shattered. there were little chunks of it everywhere. I was a 5 spoked wheel and all 5 spokes broke. the hub was still in tact. It was kind of weird seeing the spokes busted and the outer part of the wheel and tire sitting there with the hub still attached.

I wonder if that AP2 center console is okay. The song says "You can take what's left."

I have bent a couple of wheels from wrecks & ripped the tires right off the wheels - never broke one though - they all my fault - all being young and stupid. Thank goodness they did not involve other cars and no-one got hurt.

I want to punch everybody that leaves comments on those sites! Steefire, You Tube, etc. They bring out the biggest loosers!

S2KI FTW!
