So, let's talk TV here.

What does everyone have. I continually have issues w. Comcast and their service. I pay around 170$ with tax for phone, internet and HD/DVR's.

I have the best package which is all premium channels + HD.

I'm looking to swap to either Dish or Direct TV.

Thoughts ?

Direct TV for........8+ years, no problems. Before that Dish.....
Pricing depends on what package you want, you can look that up on their site and compare it to what you have now. For phone.....cell phone FTW, who needs a house phone, all they are good for is Telemarketers.
Internet......Bellsouth/ATT but you always tell me mine sucks so I guess you'll have to look elsewhere for that.

I had Direct TV in grad school. We hacked the box and had over 1000 channels. That was fun. I wouldn't give up cable modem access for satellite though.

I did that too! We used to call it "Should've Paid for View!!" It was soooo awesome. Then I went to a DoD security briefing, and the FBI mentioned that it was a problem. They said they were working with Direct TV(Big presence in Huntsville) to charge people doing this with stealing a satelite signal, which is a huge federal offense!! I went home and threw my dish away that afternoon.

God I miss the Canadian $$$$$$ channels!!

...which is why I still have Comcast. Yes, they have given me some grief from time to time, but overall they still rock my world. Besides, I love CSS (SEC College Football paradise) I gotsta haves it.
