I think they had Will Ferrell on the line from way before he got as big as he is now. If they do it all goofy it could really be great. But this one is going to be really easy to F up. If it ever even does make it.

Land of the Lost has all the potential to be an awesome blockbuster franchise... imagine Peter Jackson directing it.
To make it a comedy destroys the chance for a potentially great movie were it to be done seriously. It's not as if any of these joke-remakes has been any good.

I didn't realize Will Ferrell's wildlife marshal character in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was a derivative of the Land of the Lost characters Marshall, Will, and Holly = Marshal Willenholly.
