Na, i'm eyeing up some nice 240 coupes.

I think with the Sentra I also feel like I'm not trying to have a nice car nor do I care.

It's more of a get up and go. I even considered the Versa hatch but think i'm ok with the Spec V. Great HP/TQ, moonroof, xm, nice interior, 6spd.

Why not a Altima Coupe? At least it looks like a baby G and not as ass-like as the SE-R
Wow, I said the exact same thing to Jake.

Ahhh... thank you all for the support on MY product, the Alty Coupe. Can I interest anyone in a hybrid Altima?

However, with the $$$ savings of the Spec V, plus the fact that the duration is only 1yr, you're not in it long.

Pete, just remember to get the LSD & summer tires. The Spec V sticks a lot better than one would think! It got a time of around 9:10 around the Nurburgring, without the LSD and without the summer tires. I'd have been in the high 8min mark, perhaps 8:55 or so. Consider the S2000 will do it in 8:39 (http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?viewThrea...fID=0&tID=10073); it's not far behind!

hopefully Nissan has improved the SpecV and the QR25 since its inception. a friend of mine has one and it's been quirky to say the least. it's DBW and the throttle body has failed on him 4 or 5 times so far.

pete, won't they let you get a GT-R??

Lightbulb

OK, I went to Darrell Waltrip Honda yesterday and took a look at the white CR they have there. This one had A/C and audio.

I was surprised that the execution of the Alcantara in the door panels surprised me. The shift knob also surprised me how well it works, and more importantly, how it feels. I don't particularly care for the yellow shift legend though. The steering brace looks like it might be a bolt-in affair into older S2Ks. The tires totally surprised me; the RE070s. Same tire as on GT-R (AutoWeek GT-R Article); it can't be bad! I'll be picking up a set of these when my tires wear out. The 5-spoke wheels are a matter of taste; as I've mentioned before, I prefer the machined/clearcoated wheels Honda's had for the better part of a decade. Painted OE wheels, IMHO, look cheap. Also, the dark finish of the wheels don't really go well with the bright silver brake calipers!

Interior trim, with the unique patterning for the radio door/center console--it's just printed onto the surface of the finishers! Looks cheap. Seats were REALLY nice, comfort-wise, but again, I don't care for the yellow. Same goes for the steering wheel stitching. Slightly revised gauge cluster looks nice.

Wing/lip--rice. Exhaust--I didn't recall seeing much physical difference.

All-in-all?

The QR25 in the Spec V is better now. 200hp, revs higher AND smoother. DBW isn't an issue w/ the Spec V--revs come quick, no "Civic Si" rev-hang (before Honda fixed it)--in fact, the revs drop rather quickly in that car. Personally, I'm a bit partial to the Spec-V in yellow--same EW3 paint code as my Xterra!

The most sleeper color for the Spec V is white though.

I dunno. I'm going to drive both cars this weekend. Then we'll see how long before I let the secret out which car I get...lol.

I have 4-5 months to wait, find a 240 and sell the TSX.

Lunch time.

ChickFilet in the building ftw.
