Default ...post Range Day thoughts

I just walked in the door and had to post before I go back out and empty out the car.

1st off, the drive - totally awesome - no traffic, cruise control FTMFW on the way back from B-ham to Decatur and had a cigar and then the rain came.

It was t-totally f-ing hot at the range I sweated profusely the whole time.

NO PICS. I was already past Columbia before I realized I didn't bring my camera.

AR-15 - flip up iron sights FTW -scope set up - not so good still needs some tweaking. I give myself combined score of 70% proficiency. I probably put about 100 rounds through it.

my S&W .22 pistol - 90% like riding a bike.

...and the suck - I failed miserably with the Walther .40 - I couldn't hit my foot with the @#$@% thing. I either have to get used to the trigger pull on it or consider trading it in. FTL 50 rounds and probably hit paydirt 3 times. bleh.

to Slows2k, a true gentleman and was on target waay more than I was, but hey, I looked . I appreciate you hanging around with me and eating and for getting me to the highway without all the backwards-ass stuff the navi-unit would have me do.

Rane,

It was nice meeting you - even if you are an Alabama fan.

Had a great time, the drive was easy. 80+ both ways and no prob's.

I'm sticking to iron sights on antique weapons. They work better than an EoTechFTL

And the Walther's trigger is horrid.

I know, I think there is some serious gizmology overkill going on with that pistol - that or I am going to need some $$$ schoolin'.

this is an older one - I have since bought another stock for it and will look into switcing this out as well since I noticed that I tended to creep up on it when shooting and the recoil would rip out my beard hairs.
